Now in her 4th season with Head Above Water, Cara began competitively swimming at the age of 5 and swam through high school where she spent all four years on the varisty swim team. She graduated from The University of Iowa where she majored in English and then in 2013 she moved to Los Angeles from Chicago to pursue her dream of being a writer. In between writing, she loves to spend her free time doing what she loves...swimming! She has been teaching swim lessons since the age of 16 and has been thrilled to be able to take her expereince from Chicago to Head Above Water!

Q1: Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Chicago!
Q2: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Santorini, Greece. I've been there before and it was the most beautiful place I have ever seen.
Q3: What is your favorite thing about being a swim instructor?
Watching kids learn and grow! It's so exciting by the end of the lessons to see how far they've come.
Q4: Who is your hero?
My dad - he's amazing!
Q5: If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?
Lobster, mashed potatoes, and my mom's green beans.
