Alexandra D.


Alex was born and raised in Virginia right outside of Washington DC. She went to Marymount Manhattan College in New York. Alex has been swimming since she was in Kindergarten when she joined a summer swim team. She also competed for a few years on dive team in high school. She is currently living in the Valley and working as a substitute teacher for LAUSD. In the classroom Alex has taught all ages, but she currently teaches elementary school. Alex believes that everyone should learn to swim and feel comfortable doing it!

Q1: Where did you grow up?



Q2: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Australia- I studied abroad there and feel in love. I want to go back!

Q3: What is your favorite thing about being a swim instructor?

Fun seeing anyone learning to swim they are always so happy once they've learned.

Q4: Who is your hero?

My Mom because she is very strong, independent, and smart. Would want to able to be as good of a mom as she was to me. (She swims too!)

Q5: If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?
