Having received her undergraduate degree from California State University Northridge and her MBA from Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business, Jess is a digital media executive at an agency in Los Angeles, but her first love and true passion has alway been swimming! Jess grew up on the swim team in her home town in Northern California (her mother was one of the coaches). She began as a swim lesson aide at the age of thirteen at the local public pool and went on to be an instructor and a lifeguard, all the way through undergrad. Over the years, Jess has taught all levels of swimming, from infant/mommy & me classes to pre-swim team stroke development.
There have been few greater pleasures in her life, than watching children learn to blow bubbles underwater, float on their backs independently, successfully dive into a pool, master a flip turn and at last take on the butterfly! We are so excited to have Jess back with Head Above Water for her 4th season!

"We love Jess!! She teaches the appropriate amount of stuff each class. She keeps the class moving and doesn't put any pressure on me or Sadie in our parent-and-me class. It's so much fun to see Sadie get so comfortable in the water!"
-Sarah M., Playa Vista, Spring 2018
"Jess was amazing! This was my son, Zach's first experience with swim lessons and she was patient, competent and kind. "
