Kiera was born in Northern California, but moved to the LA area to attend CSU Northridge, where she graduated from in 2013. She began swimming competitively at 9 years old, and continued through junior college. She was not ready to finish her work in the pool, and became a swim instructor in 2010. She has continued to teach infants, children, teens and adults these past 9 years, and also has a passion for working with children with special needs. She loves seeing others fall in love with the water, and discover all that it has to offer them! We are so excited to have Kiera on the Head Above Water team for her first year!
