Lily (she/her/hers pronouns) was born in Northern California, but was raised in Portland. She now attends school at the University of Redlands in Southern California. She grew up in the water — taking swim lessons when she was young and continuing with being on the swim team and competing throughout high school. After high school she became a lifeguard and has been teaching swim classes for the last few summers. Living near the Portland coast and in Southern California has also allowed her to get into ocean swimming and surfing. Additionally, Lily enjoys many other outdoor activities such as snowboarding, backpacking, rock climbing and playing tennis. Lily remembers her own swim lessons as a young kid and she wants to be able to teach kids how to swim just as well as her teacher taught her! She can't wait to use her years of teaching experience and personal aquatic experience to help others enjoy swimming as much as she does!
