We are thrilled to have Lora back with Head Above Water for her 3rd season! As an LA native, Lora has been around water since she can remember! She grew up both sailing and swimming at a very young age. A kid at heart, Lora has spent many years working with kids in a variety of aquatic and outdoor capacities. She has been a Head Sailing Instructor at Catalina Island Camps and Head Lifeguard at Del Rey Yacht Club in Marina del Rey, where she also taught swimming lessons. In addition, she has also had the opportunity to work at Club Med with kids teaching snowboarding, skiing, sailing, wakeboarding and waterskiing. In addition to teaching swim lessons, she also works as as a teacher aid for Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District during the school year and as a special education teacher aid for the district during summer school. In her spare time, Lora spends a lot of time with her 6 year old niece who also keeps her on her toes! And for any of you UC folk out there, Lora is also a University of California Santa Barbara Alumnus.
