We are thrilled to welcome Samantha ("Sam") to the Head Above Water team this year! Sam has swam competitively for 16 years and counting. She held multiple national records and continues to compete nationally with a Master's swim team. She grew up in Central Florida and relocated 5 years ago to Los Angeles, where she lives on a small ranch with her senior rescue horses, Annie and Pistol. She taught various ages of children at summer camps, where she developed her passion for teaching and providing guidance to kids of varying abilities. Client Reviews

"After watching my daughter, Ava in her 2nd class class, I have to say that she has learned more in two lessons than in 1 1/2 years at Lenny krazelberg. She is so confident and at ease w/ Samantha and so proud. I couldn’t be happier!! I am so impressed with Sam's style and demeanor. Samantha is so gifted and her work with young and old is amazing. My nanny is taking lessons as well and she has tried swim lessons over the years and was still terrified and wore a life jacket in the shallow end until she started lessons w/ Samantha. She is thrilled and I forced her to take the lessons originally. Thank you for your amazing customer service and Samantha’s skills. I just wish we found you first! We wasted years and in two lessons with Samantha, my child has gained skills and confidence and we both couldn’t be more proud!!"

"Sam was super-sweet and patient with my daughter, who didn’t want to put her face in the water. She didn’t push my daughter to do anything she didn’t want to do, and now she’s excited to go back! Sam showed my son some new strokes and he learned more from one lesson worth her than from multiple lessons with our previous instructor."

"We are 100% loving our swim classes!!! Samantha is amazing with our son Cameron. I thought he was going to be too scared to get in the pool but he goes right in with her and is having a blast!"

"Thank you SO much for fitting in my son, Sebastian, at the last minute. Samantha was AMAZING!!! She was the perfect combo of patient and encouraging. She was always upbeat and excited, but never made him do anything he didn't want to do. It was great watching her allow Sebastian to take the lead without letting him getting away with not progressing. The final result was that in 2 lessons he got back the confidence to put his head in the water. He is now diving off the side of our pool, picking up toys from the bottom, and swimming all the way across. All it took was for him to get his confidence back, which Samantha facilitated beautifully."

"Sam is amazing!!!!! My 2.5 year old started swimming to the stairs after the first lesson. We love her thank you! "
