Sheila is a practicing attorney but has true passion for swimming and children and we are lucky to have her back with Head Above Water for her 6th season! Sheila has been swimming on a swim team since she was 5 years old and was a lifeguard/swim instructor for 4 seasons in Florida, where she is originally from. Her experience in Florida combined with her experience teaching in California gives her over 10 years of experience teaching kids to swim! She loves being in the water and sharing her passion for swimming with all of her swimmers. Summer is her favorite season and she can't wait to get in the pool!

"Our lessons are off to a great start with Sheila! My daughter, Rylen was excited to try everything that Sheila asked of her with no resistance at all! Last season Rylen was struggling with a few things and some lessons she just seemed to give up and shutdown. Maybe she's just a bit older now, but whatever the case may be, Sheila seemed to have the right approach to encourage and motivate her! My daughter can't wait for her next lesson!"

"Sheila has been great!! She was able to get my daughter, who is quite shy with new people, to disconnect and get into the pool quite quickly on the very first lesson. I attribute this very much to her teaching style which is firm yet caring. The few tears passed quickly as my daughter started having fun in the water. Sheila has added new skills each lesson, has given lots of positive feedback and my daughter's swimming skills have progressed surprisingly quickly! "
